Happy Birthday Actor Prasana

He was still an engineering student when he attended an open audition for fresh faces in Susi Ganesan's ‘Five Star’. We can still remember his babyish look and he came out with a refreshing performance. Yeah, we are talking about Prasanna. Today is his B’day and we are pleased about his journey in Tamil cinema.

Prasanna was good at mimicry and acting right from his school and college days. He had the talent of a young star and this got him to Tamil film industry. His debut film was a good show but then his next two films did not fare well at box office. He the got recognized once more for his role Chandran in ‘Azhagiya Theeye’ with Navya Nair. Then he went on to do ‘Kasthoori Maan’, ‘Kanda Naal Mudhal’, ‘Seena Thaana 001’ and ‘Sadhu Miranda’ which were all average grosser at the box office.

The bold role of a rogue called Dhaya in ‘Anjathey’ got him to win the ITFA Best Villain Award. Just the same way his recent release ‘Achchamundu Achchamundu’ a social thriller directed by Arun Vaidyanathan went on to become a success. The film was officially selected for screening at the 12th Shanghai International Film Festival under the International Panorama category. The film also went on to receive the Best Homegrown Feature Film award at the Garden State Film Festival at New Jersey.

His career graph has grown from his first appearance and Prasanna is now a toned actor who can handle any character with ease and dedication. How many heroes in Tamil cinema will say that they are open to villain roles? But this man who loves his profession is ready for any game that can give him enough stuff to enact. Looks like elders in his family have already started the search for his life-partner. “Expect some good news around the end of this year”, says the actor.

Surya's flick

Shall we say ‘They are back’? As we know Suriya and Hari are now coupled for the third time in ‘Singam’ after ‘Aaru’ and ‘Vel’. We heard that Hari plans to complete ‘Singam’ in a single schedule of 50 days and 10 extra days for the patch work. Sources say that the shoot started in Courtallam of late, and ‘Singam’ will be Suriya’s big summer release, next year. This action-packed family mass entertainer has the sultry Anushka paired opposite Suriya for the first time.

Produced by Suriya’s cousin Gnanavel Raja under the banner of Studio Greens, ‘Singam’ will have its music done Devi Sri Prasad. Suriya the handsome hunk of southern circuit is slowly making his way into Bollywood.

After ‘Singam’ Suriya will be working with Ram Gopal Varma for ‘Rakta Charitra’. The film is based on the life on criminal Parithala Ravi who has been worshipped by his town people till date. Suriya will be enacting the role of Maatal Seruvu Suri alias Suri, the close associate of Parithala Ravi who is now accused in Ravi’s murder case. The film will be made in Two Parts and Suriya will be introduced during penultimate section of the first part. While the first part shows the rise of Parithala Ravi from forest to ballot, the second part deals with how he was trapped in the conspiracies of opponents. The second part will have a lot of space for Suriya’s character. We hear that Suriya has given 20 days of his call sheet for ‘Rakta Charitra’ which will be made simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu.

That’s a dream start for any star!
